Maybelline New York 100 years x 100 faces of New York x Making Of

I can finally share this awesome news with all of you!!

Couple of weeks ago i had a chance to be a part of one of the biggest commercials in Finland. I choreographed 2 min long video for Maybelline Finland.

I am honored to be part of this amazing project.

My super talented Model Michaela! We worked super hard for this one. She actually danced almost 11 hours in a row changing her clothes for 100 times. Not to mention her make up, hair and nails.

Story of Elli Hietala - A girl with a heart

It all started almost a year ago, to be exact it was spring 2013.

Me and Lilli held an audition for the Rascalz formation team in Myyrmäki, Vantaa.

We picked 26 dancers out of 60+ dancers and Elli was one of them.

Although She is hearing impaired, she was dancing and performing like any other dancer in that audition. One of the things that really caught my eyes was that she did not once give up. She just kept on smiling and pushing her self although the techniques and the styles were very new to her.

Her spirit, motivation and kindness were noticed and she got a spot in the Rascalz formation group. During the summer Elli went through a heart surgery which went well and the doctor gave her a green light and we started practicing in august 2013.

I remember it like it was yesterday.. It was monday evening, most of the dancers were finishing Lilli's house class and they were getting ready for the next class to start. As they were getting ready i told all the dancers that today we are going to work out really hard. I had them running down and up the stairs for 10 rounds and Elli was one of the first to finish. She was smiling and happy of her accomplishment.

By the time everybody was finished we went back to the dance studio, we had a little break and continued with dancing. All of a sudden Elli felt on her knees and started shacking. That moment was so unreal, it felt like the time stopped for a second. I froze up. All i can hear was Lilli saying

"Elli is having a heart attack".

The pacemaker saved her life.

Elli woke up after 15 seconds, confused and feeling tired. By the time her dad came to pick her up she realized what had happened. I gave her a hug with teary eyes and told her that everything is going to be all right.

Unfortunately Elli had her second heart attack in 2014 couple of months before the Finnish Championship and she had to quit dancing in the Rascalz formation.

Im happy that Lilli made this video for everybody to see that Dancing in general has really impact on peoples life's. It gives you confident, energy and happiness. You should never take it for granted.

Baltic Session Tallinn 2014

HEY Y'ALL!

So last weekend we went to Tallinn for the annual Baltic Session competition.

EachOneTeachHelsinki decided to organize a group trip for all of those who were traveling from Helsinki to Tallin. Thank you Lilli Huttula <3 for organizing this group trip for all of us and thank you for being there for me. Much Love <3

This year baltic session was off the hook! The Finland team did so great this year !!!

I entered the Ladies Hip hop 1 vs 1 and in Voguing (which didn't go that well LOL)

This is actually the only picture that i took from that night. By the time we got to Club Hollywood the registration was closed. They were telling us that we need pay in other wise they wouldn't let us in. We couldn't even take our stuff with us to the club because we didn't had our bracelets on. Next thing you know my category started.

This years theme was Disney princesses. I entered the Old way category because i felt that my style wasn't really New way or femme. So they called my name i went to stage and BAM!!

All of a sudden i felt like didn't know what i was doing. I couldn't hear the music nor the chanting all i was seeing was Leyomi wipping her hair and Archie was doing some crazy signs. IT WAS A CHOP!

Ofcourse it felt awful at first but then it hit me. I shouldn't be mad or disappointed. If i want to Vogue at a competition where the level is so high i need to practise more. TADAA! It was a good wake up call. Back to LAB!

Then god I'm going to New York next week. I need to take classes and gather more information.

Lumi Shoe Store Launch Party @ Kiseleff Merchant House

The House of Ninja Finland was invited to the Lumi Shoe Store Launch Party a week ago.

The beautiful event was held in Kiseleff Merchant House close to Senaatintori.

They were serving home made Chocolate by Pralina Chocolaterie and some sparkling by Aperol. What a nice combo!

We were wearing Lumi from head to toe. In this picture Me and Anneli were wearing the Saana boot and Venla was wearing the Tilda boot. I must say that boots were very comfortable and warm. They are definitely made for the Finnish weather.

Making of Beyonce Tribute x Eerika Moilanen & Roza Ahmad Video

Here is our making of the Beyone Tribute

This project started in may 2014. I saw Eerika posting up a video of Parris Goebels Beyonce short movie and immediately i was caught. The video got me super inspired and happy i couldn't stop thinking about it. I watched it at least 3-4 times that one day.

And then it hit me, why not do a collabo with Eerika. I asked her and that was it. We met once and we clicked right away. I must say she is a hard working lady and she knows what she wants. I learned a lot from you =) Thank you!

So we ended up doing four Beyonce songs:

1. Yonce

2. Blow

3. Haunted

4. Flawless

First location was Nightclub Saint in Helsinki. We shoot my choreography Blow and a little scene between me, Eerika and Aron.
