Sidottu x Esitys jalkineista x Ohjaaja Hanna Peiponen

Metropolia-teatteri esittää: SIDOTTU
Esitys jokapäiväisistä jalkineistamme

Katso alaspäin. Tarkemmin. Miksi sinulla on tänään juuri nuo kengät jalassa?

Sidottu on raikastunnelmainen teatteriesitys jokapäiväisistä jalkineistamme.

Ohjaus on Hanna Peiposen teatteri-ilmaisun ohjaaja (AMK) -tutkintoon kuuluva työharjoittelu ohjaajantyön alueella.

Dubai 3.2-9.2.2014 x Vacation time x Ego Urban Lounge

I made short trip to Dubai couple of weeks ago with my mom and my relatives.
This was my fourth time going there and a lot was changed. The city never stops growing every year you go back and the more they have build. The scariest thing is that it seems that they are building just to boost the ego of the city. I swear half of the skyscrapers were empty or they were in building process. It's interesting to see how far they are ready to go with all of that.

Wasn't really in a mood of taking pictures but still took a few.
ENJOY!

On of the realest places in Dubai is the Gold Souk and the area of Bur Dubai.

The amount of gold is ridiculous.

I bought this diamond bracelet from the gold souk. I have this thing with eyes, i always wear a bracelet with one on it. They called it the all seeing eye, which protects you from evil eyes of others. Maybe I'm superstitious..

Me and Simona at Marina Dubai

Ida, Me and Simona

I think i had Lebanese food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. LOL! I can't get enough of it. My favorites are of course all the mezzes such as hummus, fattoush, tabbouleh, samubusac with spinach. For main course i always had grilled lamb and kebbeh and of course for dessert i had Baklava with arabic coffee. YUMMMMYY!

Here are couple of pictures from breakfast.

More breakfast!
Lebanese breakfast! Yummy!

Last night we decided to go out and check the this new club called Ego Urban Lounge. It's located in Dubai internet city at Boutique 7 Hotel & Suites, really close to Simona's and Ida's workplace.

That night was the grand opening for the Jamrock- thursdays dancehall and reggae party.
There was also a dope live performance by Nicky B.

Check Ego Urban Lounge's Facebook page for more info.

After the party it was time for some Burger King!

Thank you Simona, Ida and Damiana for taking good care of me and my family <3
Till the next time!

Dubai x Day 1 x BlouOutBeautyBar

Hey guys!

Last week i spent my winter holiday in sunny Dubai. My 4 day trip was all about friends, shopping, clubbing and eating Lebanese food ( ill make another post of that real soon).

My good friends Simona, Ida and Damiana just moved to Dubai to follow their dreams and to build their own future in this fast growing city. These Finnish ladies are known to be very good at what they do. I think it's time to show Dubai what these ladies are made of.

Simona and Ida are now working in a beautiful ladies salon called Blo Out Beauty Bar. The salon is located really close to the Mall of the Emirates and the area is called Tecom, Dubai internet city. To get there just tell the taxi driver to take you german saudi hospital and from there it's just a walk away.

When i entered the i rise tower and was looking for the salon i was wondering to myself "where is this place". Then i see the entrance with this beautiful pink grey front desk. I was sold. The interior of the salon was absolutely amazing. All of the little details were thought thoroughly, everything was black, white, pink and grey.

The reception

The owners Abby(missing in the picture) and her sister Farrah welcomed me in and immediately felt like home =) They really took good care of the customers and make sure that everybody felt fabulous after all of that pampering.

The lounge area

The salon was packed, the customers were having a blo out, mani and pedi at same time. That's what i call time management. You don't get that kind of a service here in Finland. Hah!

-

I chose a hair cut a la Simona and a mani and a pedi from Rose. I even got my eyebrows reshaped by this old middle eastern technique called threading. I have to say this was done less in two hours.

There were posters like this everywhere <3 Loved it!

The Crew!

I want to wish Simona and Ida all the best and success on their new adventure. I am really excited for you guys because i know how passionate you are towards your craft. Hard work always pays off eventually, that's what i always say. Just stay humble, be grateful and stay true to yourself and you will go as far you can dream of.

Love you girls <3

Me and my sis <3 (Day 2)

I hope we will see each other really soon!

HellyLuv x Risk It All x Music Video

Let me introduce you to my childhood friend Helan aka HellyLuv. We've known each other since we were 8 or 9 years old. We first met in this camp which was organized for the kurdish kids living in Finland. Every summer we spent 1 week together and afterwards we spent a lot of time writing letters to each other asking stupid questions like "whats your favorite color?". I think i still have couple of them left.

Years went by and got the chance to meet each other. Unfotunately she was living in a another city so we always had to arrange all of our visits, but I'm happy we did. I was always so excited to go to Lahti. We used to always dance together, i think i thought her how to do the shakira hips or something :D ahahahha!!!

Time went by and all of a sudden i noticed that she had moved to Los Angeles. I wasn't that suprised, she was always full of energy and she had this karisma no one else had. She went there to pursue her dreams and to become a singer, an artist. After a long struggle she finally met some right people. Los the mystro produced her first songs and The Dream actually wrote her couple a songs because he was so inspired by her hmm.. I don't blame him.
Recently she signed with G2 Music Group to execute a new project for her. Helly's new album will be produced by Gawain "G2" Bracy II and has a world dance sound to it. The first release will be titled "Risk it all".
Really loving the middle eastern look for her and the fact that she is taking her music back to Kurdistan, our homeland!

She is the queen of the dessert.

Risk it all promo pictures

When i watched the video for the first time i started crying. It reminds me the days when i was 12 and visited Kurdistan for the first time. Kids playing around, old men sitting and drinking their tea on the porch and the joy of dancing and being together. This video really captured all of it.

ENJOY!
